Overview
This device is designed for online monitoring of system-to-ground insulation performance in China's energy storage and new energy vehicle sectors, based on actual operating conditions. Suitable for ungrounded systems rated up to DC 1150V, it meets insulation monitoring requirements for most energy storage, charging station, and new energy applications.
Employing a low-frequency AC injection method, this device reliably and accurately monitors the following parameters for DC and IT (ungrounded) systems: system insulation resistance to ground, system capacitance, bus voltage, positive and negative voltages to ground, positive and negative insulation resistances to ground. Alarm event logs and other parameters can be remotely transmitted to a host computer via the 485 protocol. Various measurement conditions selectable from the settings menu allow for optimized adaptation to specific application measurement techniques.
During operation, the insulation monitor continuously monitors the insulation resistance of the entire IT system. An alarm is triggered when this value falls below a preset response threshold. The device must be connected between the IT system (ungrounded system) and the PE line to obtain measurement values. A microcontroller records and measures values in the microampere range superimposed on the system.
