Overview
The Variable Frequency Dielectric Loss Tester is a high-precision instrument for field or laboratory testing of tangent delta values and capacitance in various high-voltage electrical equipment at power plants, substations, and similar facilities. Featuring an integrated design, it incorporates a built-in dielectric loss test bridge, variable frequency voltage regulator power supply, step-up transformer, and SF6 high-stability standard capacitor. The high-voltage test source is generated by the instrument's internal inverter, stepped up via a transformer for application to the test specimen. Frequency can be varied to 45.0Hz, 50.0Hz, 55.0Hz, 47.5Hz/52.5Hz, 45.0Hz/55.0Hz, 60.0Hz, 65.0Hz, 57.5Hz/ 62.5Hz, 55.0Hz\65.0Hz. Employing digital notch filter technology, it avoids interference from power frequency electric fields, fundamentally resolving the challenge of accurate measurement under strong electric field interference. It is also suitable for testing scenarios where power is completely shut off and generator power is used. This instrument can be additionally equipped with an insulating oil cup and temperature control device to test the dielectric loss of insulating oil.

The instrument features a 7-inch touchscreen color display with an ultra-large touch-operated interface. Its intuitive design ensures straightforward operation, with each process clearly displayed. No specialized training is required for operators. A single tap completes the entire measurement process, making it an ideal intelligent medium loss measurement device.
• Massive Data Storage
The instrument incorporates a calendar chip and large-capacity memory, storing up to 100 sets of data. Test results are saved chronologically, allowing easy access to historical records and print output.

• Scientific and Advanced Data Management
Instrument data can be exported via USB drive for viewing and management on any PC.
• Multiple Test Modes
The instrument supports various testing methods including internal high voltage, external high voltage, internal standard, external standard, forward connection, reverse connection, and self-excitation. Under external standard with external high voltage and forward connection, it can perform high-voltage (over 10kV) dielectric loss measurements.
• CVT Measurement Without Disconnecting High-Voltage Leads
The instrument accurately measures the dielectric loss and capacitance values of a CVT without disconnecting its high-voltage leads.
 CVT reverse-connection shielding method for C0 measurement
The instrument employs the reverse-connection shielding method to measure the dielectric loss and capacitance of the upper terminal C0 on a CVT.
 High-speed signal sampling
The internal inverter and sampling circuits are fully digitally controlled, enabling continuously adjustable output voltage.
Multi-Layer Protection for Safety and Reliability
The instrument incorporates multiple protective measures against input voltage fluctuations, high-voltage current, output short circuits, power supply failures, overvoltage, overcurrent, and temperature extremes, ensuring safe and reliable operation. It also features a grounding detection function, preventing operation on ungrounded equipment. An alarm activates if accidentally connected to 380V power, protecting the instrument from damage.

 Comprehensive CVT Testing
This instrument also measures the dielectric loss and capacitance of C1 and C2 in fully sealed CVTs (capacitive voltage transformers), enabling simultaneous testing of both capacitors. It additionally tests CVT transformation ratios and voltage phase angles.
 Fully Automatic LCR Measurement
Performs fully automatic inductance, capacitance, and resistance measurements with angle display.
Simultaneous Four-Channel Testing
When using the positive connection method, the total capacitance of four test specimens must not exceed the maximum capacitance value testable for a single specimen. This enables simultaneous measurement of dielectric loss values for all four specimens.
Bluetooth Data Query Support
Equipped with a Bluetooth module, the instrument supports Bluetooth data transmission. Its protocol complies with the State Grid's “Technical Specifications for Data and Communication of Digital Testing Instruments for Electrical Equipment.”
